I created this post to provide you with a 10 minute guided gratitude meditation.
Meditation in general has a ton of benefits, but many of them do take a little time to be realized. While meditation feels good and lowers stress, it will take consistent meditation to lower blood pressure and increase your immunity.
However, a gratitude practice, whether it's journaling or meditation, has immediate benefits.
Benefits of a Gratitude Meditation
- Increased sense of happiness and well-being
- Increased feelings of contentment and optimism
- Decreased focus on materialism
- Increased appreciation for others, which benefits our relationships
- Decreased feelings of depression
- Better sleep
With all of these benefits, why wouldn't you want to add a gratitude practice into your day?
Below I have provided a 10 minute guided gratitude meditation for you. This meditation is best done in the morning to start your day off thinking positively, or right before bed so you can sail into dreamland thinking happy thoughts. However, there may be some days when you need an emergency dose of gratitude in the middle of the day. If you aren't on a place to listen to this guided meditation, simply close your eyes and think of 3 things you are grateful for. As you think of these things, feel you heart expanding and allow yourself to be flooded with the feeling of gratitude.
