For many reasons, we are trying to minimize gift giving at our house this holiday season. Shopping for gifts can leave us broke, stressed and resenting this wonderful time of year. I prefer to focus on relaxing by our tree with a book, spending time with family and friends and maybe watching a few holiday movies (ok, maybe 20 holiday movies).
But sometimes you can't completely get out buying a few gifts. Therefore, to help reduce shopping stress, I have put together some gift ideas that help promote healthy activities. I personally own most of these items, or something very similar.
In addition to my list below, you can also focus on gifting experiences, such as gift certificates for local restaurants, movie theaters or a membership to a museum.
