Nothing says Autumn like a trip to the local apple farm for cider and donuts. I love the fresh donuts they often have available. I'm talking about those simple sugar & cinnamon fry cakes, and they are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I recently found a recipe for Apple Cider Donut Cake, and that is what I'm making today.

Autumn is the best time to be in the kitchen. As the days grow colder, I find myself wanting to heat up the oven and start baking all of the apple and pumpkin foods. I also love cooking up hearty, warm meals!
