I love anything lemon-flavored and these cookies are no exception. They make a great addition to any platter of Christmas cookies, but they are also perfect to serve with a cup of coffee, a cup of tea, or to curb that 3 pm snack attack!

Sweet Treats? Really?
We all know that we need to cut back on our sugar intake. The issue is that sugar (and sugar-like products) are added to so many processed foods. I'm not just talking about sweet junk food. Sugar is often added to foods we don't think of as sweet, such as salad dressings, condiments, and side dishes.
However, moderation is key. When most of your meals are created from real, whole foods, our sugar intake is significantly less than when we eat a ton of processed foods. Therefore, if you normally eat healthy real food, you can indulge in a homemade sweet treat without feeling guilty.
